As is our now yearly tradition, Daniel and I traveled up north for the one time a year WWE comes anywhere close to our state. They seem to be sticking with the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho now, whereas the first one or two I attended were in Albuquerque proper. Which, now that I (and the GPSes) know where it is, is fine by me. It's close enough to Cottonwood Mall, that getting a hotel nearby is not problematic and free parking! It's just taken us a few years to figure out exactly which seats we should be seeking, though next year, I really hope I can get in on time to get near the entrance line and actually have a hope of a high-five or t-shirt toss. Calling in to ask for side-facing bleachers was actually a better view than the floor seats which are exceedingly problematic for a few reasons, but mostly because I'm short. Meaning I'm level with everyone else and most of the guys are taller than me, the kids stand on the chairs, people hold up their cell phones/ipads to record the match and I'm about eye-level with the ring itself so I end up missing about 85% of what's happening. This year I was unfortunately next to the most obnoxious child in the entire arena, but my library-training made it so I could kiiiind of tune him out. Seriously, kids should not be internet trolls at the age of 8.
So, we decided to get our commerative cups first just in case they sold out and since I saw a hole in the merch line I decided to get that out of the way, as well. There was however, no actual order to the proceedings so we missed out on half of the first match. Which was Fandango vs Dolph Ziggler, so....yeah. But I got a Shield shirt, a program, a CM Punk Bleacher Creature which is probably about the last WWE Punk merch we're ever going to see so: collector's item! and a Cena hat for my brother. I know, I know...his choice.
Welp, I still have my ganky point-and-shoot from a million years ago and the lighting in there sucks, so my pictures are not-so-hot, but I did get a few shots and at least it helps me remember what actually happened.

Temptations
To take a break from weight-loss whining, we're going to switch to
stuff-I-want whining. I was at Target last night and realized saw that I
missed a Mario Golf release on the 3DS AND Gardening Mama 2 was a
thing. I know what to expect with Mama games, so I'm content to wait
until it's $20 or below to pick it up. Mario Golf: World Tour's hard to
peg down based on reviews, but since I've been lamenting no new MG on
the Wii and play more handheld anyways, I really think I'll be picking
this up sooner than later. Of course this is right before the Alb trips
where I'm going to be spending money, so I really need to wait. Dag! Guess I'll stick to Pokemons, maybe finally beating Bravely Default and Animal Crossing for the time being.
Aaand, looks like Cooking Mama 5 has been announced, but no firm release
date. So probably at the end of the year and I'll be distracted with
HOENN TRUMPETS at that point.
And Sailor Moon. Ah, so happy that they're releasing new stuff, but also struggling to amass it all from Japan!
Especially with a lot more Saturn stuff now! Oh man, if they do dolls
I'm going to be so dead. I also just saw a Cardcaptor Sakura Nenderoid.
Waaaant! I'll probably attach that on because I think with the Figuarts
Saturn, I'm going to order the U.S. and Japanese version. I really hope
she works better than Sailor Moon who I couldn't even get the bangs off
of so that I could change the faces.
I did get my two boxes of the Megahouse chibi figures (I forgot the actual name, Petit Chara, maybe?). Aaaaand, yay, they were the two different sets! Never been happier to see Tux's mask on his face. So I don't have to worry about finding someone to trade with and everything that goes along with that. I hope my luck holds out for the Outers box, but I'm not even sure when those will be out. I really want the tiny plushes before those disappear, as well. And I didn't care for the Moon Figurarts Zero, but I really like the statues for the rest of the inners. Unfortunately they're pretty expensive, so I'll probably be giving those a pass unless they make Saturn. I need to get on the rest of the keychains, too. I can't remember which of the first two sets I got and which I need to track down, I did get the outers, but now a Princess Serenity set has also been announced and that's a MUST HAVE. The only other outstanding preorder aside from the Petit outers is the Stylus' and I believe those are June or July, as well. I ordered the Glaive/Time Key combo as well as Spiral Heart wand and whatever the Chibimoon version is. Can't wait to whack people with my extendable Silence Glaive!

GE
keeps cranking stuff out, too, but since we're not fighting with
Japanese folks on that, they seem to hang around a bit longer and are
easier to obtain.
Damn damn damn
Haven't exercised for 3 days now. I'm just so freaking tired
at night, I fall asleep before I can do anything. I really hope I can
clear that up with this vacation. There's a fitness challenge going on
right now where you register for $20 and the people who lose the most
weight according to BMI percentage will win $1000, $500 and $250.
Tomorrow's the last weigh-in, so I think I'm going to participate and
hope that it will push me harder to eat better since I've really fallen
off the wagon and be a good gauge of the DDP Yoga.
I had
signed up for the Dietbet thing at the beginning of the year because a
Facebook friend was encouraging it and I thought I would get back on the
carb diet and do well again, but even with eating better, I just
couldn't lose anymore weight. It's going to be hard going up to
Albuquerque twice and being good, but hopefully I've gotten the bad
stuff out of my system now. I saw hummus on Kitchen Nightmares and got a
craving and the grocery store had my dreaded whoopie pies, but that
stuff's gone now, so back to carb-avoidance! Last day of work too, so I
can hopefully work out earlier and do so every day instead of just when
possible. And my stomache hurts today, so I'm guessing carb-poisoning is
still in effect with provides a good incentive to cut it out again.Wednesday, May 7, 2014
Wrestle Trip Incoming
It's now a month away until our annual WWE House Show Trip. They only
come to our state once a year and only visit two cities: Las Cruces and
Albuquerque/Rio Ranchos (the last one and this one are RR, but before that it
was Alb, but they're close enough). I'm not at all familiar with LC the way I am with Alb, so we inevitably always go north.
Last
year beget my first ever traffic ticket when we couldn't find the
stupid arena because the GPS was being shit and I had not anticipated
where we would be leaving to find it so it was like the only google map I
didn't print out and it was dark at that point anyway. Anyhow, I ended
up in a residential area and coming off of the highway and was still
going too fast. Got pulled over, but the lady was really sympathetic
when we told her what was happening and we were flustered because it was
20 mins past the start time at this point and she tried to get me to
come back up there and fight the ticket, but I ended up just paying. Bye
bye, spotless record. This year's is in the same place, so fingers
crossed that we won't have as much trouble again.
It's
also annoying that it's a Sunday night so I have to waste a day off, so
that we can spend the night since last time driving back was pretty
tiring and I would still take off just in case of unforeseen
circumstances.
Line-ups change, but thus far the ones
to look forward to seeing are The Shield, Daniel Bryan and Cesaro.
Probably Cody Rhodes too since Goldust is listed. No Sheamus. :( He's
listed as being somewhere in Minnesota that same night with the Wyatts
(no Luke Harper, either, DOUBLE WOE), despite that they'll all have to
meet up on Monday for Raw anyway. Woe. We missed him last year, because
it was July and right after he had his shoulder hurt at Money in the
Bank and took off for injury. Christian and Justin Gabriel have both
disappeared off the face of the earth, but there's still a month to go
and if they are splitting the whole roster, there may still be some
surprises. Oooh, just realized that Cesaro means we'll get Paul Heyman again! Hooray!
What's that, Job?
Oh yes, I hate you! Thank you so much for reminding me! This is why I'm leaving you for 2 weeks two days from now.
Zzzzz
Okay, so last night was a bust. I'm glad I did get up early in the morning. After work, I went over to a coworker's to help her put up her glider swing thing for her porch. Well, she thought she was just asking me to help carry it from the truck to her house, but that wasn't even on my radar and I just assumed the bulk of the task was going to be putting that thing together and that was the help she was asking for. And I'm glad I had that mindset, because...yeaaaah, that thing would have been a nightmare for one person to attempt. Even with both of us, we managed to do the frame backwards and had to undo that and stripped a screw in the process, while listening to the most annoying dog next door bark constantly. All-in-all about 3 hours. So I didn't get home until 8pm, then had dinner and promptly fell asleep right after Ink Master.
It at least kept me from eating whoopie pies, but it also meant I missed another workout. Hopefully, putting together that swing thing was enough since my arms hurt from hold up metal frames and tightening screws. Tonight is friend night, so getting a chance to exercise is low, too. And I was way too freaking tired to even attempt getting up early this morning. Don't know if it was the swing, being out in the heat, the nerves from the meeting or just getting up early or probably the combination of all three. Still trying to recover this morning. Arrrrgh, still so much to do before vacation, though!

DDP Progress
Okay, so depression hit me pretty bad on Saturday night.
Several people posted about meeting special someones and I sunk into my
"That's never going to be me because I'm a broken person that will never
find someone to love me that I will also love back" mode. I...hit that
mode a lot these days.
Anyways, I still did my DDP Energy! workout on Saturday night despite my moroseness. On Sunday, I actually got up early despite not going into work until 1pm. The hot air balloon rally was this weekend and driving into work on Saturday the balloons were practically right on top of our neighborhood. There was a chase crew at the end of my block, another further down the street and one was deflating in the parking lot of Game and Fish, which is NOT a big parking lot.
So...Sunday, I get my camera, have plans to
make a cup of coffee and sit outside with my new lawn furniture and
enjoy the show. I got up even earlier than I normally would for work and
what happens? Only a handful even ascend and the ones that do go the
complete opposite direction from me. So...that was a bust. But, since I
was too awake to resume sleep, I decided to try the DDP Yoga Wake up!
routine. It was only 10 minutes, but just enough of a push to get the
heart rate going, but not end up all sweaty and gross. I didn't realize
how stiff you get in the mornings either until the moves I'd had no
problem doing the night were giving me problems in the morning. And then
coffee was enjoyed. I discovered I really enjoy Chock Full o' Nuts Soho

The program guide recommends three weeks of Energy! before moving up to Fat Burner. I'm still struggling with Down Dog and the push-ups, but I am curious to see what some of the other routines are like. Not going out tonight, so perhaps I will give Fat Burner an attempt!
